In this month's podcast, I am very pleased to have interviewed Chris Dicks, the owner of Resolution Health and Fitness.

Chris is a leader in his field and during the interview, we discuss, among other things, how to alter your mind set to make weight loss easy, simple changes you can make in your life for great results, and what sort of healthy eating plan works best.

Further to the question about how to stay motivated Chris would like to add the following:

"In my answer in the interview in response to the question asked by the Facebook follower, I mentioned being held accountable by a support group who are your closest family and friends so that when the inevitable doubt and lack of motivation strikes you have a group of people close to you who can lift and encourage you.

I would also like to add the following:

1) A good coach who can provide the tools and strategies to help motivate you once they fully understand the person and how they are emotionally driven

And this leads me to the main point.......

2) You've got to have your WHY........ without a WHY you must workout or eat well, then you have no real purpose behind your health plan, and as such it is likely you will falter. Motivation comes from understanding the real emotional driver behind the goal and it turns "I want to lose weight" to "I must lose weight." If you lose motivation then you don't have a strong enough WHY behind your goal and you need to find that first."
